RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):

Provide comments to staff.

BACKGROUND:

The city has been notified by the State Historic preservation Office (SHPO) that the Buena Vista Clubhouse has been nominated by citizens for the inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.

The State Advisory Committee on Historic Preservation is scheduled to review the request to list the Buena Vista Social Clubhouse on Thursday, February 27, 2020.

As the owner of the clubhouse, the city has the right to submit comment in support or opposition to the SHPO offices prior to the February 27^th meeting.  That comment is needed from the Mayor via the City Commission.

OPTIONS:

•                     Provide comment to the Commission for inclusion within their deliberations,

•                     Remain silent on comment.
