BACKGROUND:
Annually the Library Board reviews its By-laws to ensure that all members are familiar with the procedures and requirements of the Library Board. This year, the Library Director asked the Library Baord to pay special attention to the section about make-up of the Board which is to be as follows:
The LIBRARY BOARD shall consist of seven (7) appointed members. They shall consist of four (4) “city” resident positions, two (2) “out of city” positions, and one (1) “at large” position. No committee member shall serve more than two consecutive terms.
The Library Director will provide population figures at the Board Meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, so that the Board can discuss the ratio of city positions in relationship to out of city positions.
