Title

First Reading of Ordinance No. 19-1019, Emergency Annexation of 0.299 Acres at 19420 S Pease Road, File No. GLUA-19-00012: AN-19-00001

Body

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):

Staff recommends that the City Commission approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 19-1019.

BACKGROUND:

Planning GLUA-19-00012: AN-19-00001 involves a request for an emergency annexation of a 0.299-acre property into the city limits of Oregon City in order to receive city services. The property is required to annex as a result of a septic system failure and has already connected to the city sewer system. No re-zoning of the property is proposed at this time.

Pursuant to the City's Comprehensive Plan policy 14.4.4 to expedite the annexation process for properties that are required to annex as a condition of connecting to city sewer, this application does not require a recommendation from the Planning Commission.

The attached proposed findings, reasons for decision and conclusions detail compliance of the proposal with the City's annexation code and policies.  The public comment period is open until closed by the City Commission.
