BACKGROUND

1.The February CIC Comprehensive Plan presentation by Laura Terway and Census Flyer are enclosed for your reference.

2. All CIC positions run on a 2-year appointment schedule that expires December 31, 2019. Neighborhoods, please submit your applications as soon as you are able. http://www.orcity.org/cityrecorder/application-appointment. All CIC positions need to be submitted/re-submitted via the online application.

The following Neighborhood Associations have turned in their applications:
Barclay Hills (Karla Laws, Janice Morris)
Caufield (John Kies, Kevin Shofner)
Gaffney Lane (Amy Willhite)
McLoughlin (Denise Beasley)
Park Place (Bob La Salle, Steve VanHaverbeke)
Canemah (Dennis Anderson, Lynda Baysinger)

The following active Neighborhood Associations have yet to turned in their applications:
Rivercrest
Hillendale
Two Rivers

3. The city budget puts aside money each biennium in a city account to support the printing and mailing of neighborhood association postcards. The city has a contract with Buels Impressions Printing, who prints the cards and sends them to a third party mailer through a bulk rate permit. Neighborhood Associations prepare the draft postcard with their own graphic design program. Click on the attached link to learn more about sending postcards


4. For those interested in keeping up with the latest development applications in the city, there are two great ways to get the information. Please pass this information on to your contact list as appropriate for your organization.

a. Click on the development tab at the bottom of www.orcity.org This action will take you to a page that lists all noticed land use applications and city capital improvement projects. They are sorted by year.
