Title
Contract with Workplace Resource of Oregon for Furniture Purchase for the Police and Municipal Courts Building

Body
RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract for the Police and Municipal Courts Building with Workplace Resource of Oregon.

BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2017, the voters of Oregon City authorized the issuance of bonds in the principal amount up to $16 million to provide a new Police and Municipal Courts Building. These funds will be added to the existing Community Safety Advancement Fee (CSAF) revenues in reserve. On November 15, 2017, the City Commission approved Resolution No. 17-28 to authorize and execute the sale and issuance of the bonds and related transactions.

The City selected the Workplace Resource of Oregon (WRO) after interviewing office furniture vendors from the metro region. WRO provided the best range of brands for the value. Over the course of several months, Police Department staff worked with WRO to select furniture for the entire Police and Municipal Courts Building; including work stations, conference room chairs and tables, Commission Chambers/Courtroom/EOC chairs and tables, evidence and forensic room workstations, and interview rooms tables and chairs. The attached quote includes the total to deliver and install work stations and furniture for the police and municipal court departments in the new public safety building. The line items for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment exist in the approved budget for the Police and Municipal Courts Building and these amounts are within the allocated funds.

Based on the WRO proposal for scope of services, staff recommends that the Commission authorize the City Manager to execute the contract not to exceed $496,905.25 for WRO to provide furniture for the Police and Municipal Courts Building. The WRO quote and terms and conditions documents are attached.
