Development Code Amendments Including Equitable Housing (Planning File LEG 18-00001): General Amendments for Clarification, Correction of Errors, or Improvements

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Tentative approval of the proposed amendments to the Oregon City Municipal Code and continuance of Planning file LEG 18-00001 to the November 6, 2019 City Commission hearing.
BACKGROUND:
The Commission provided feedback and direction to staff regarding proposed corrections and clarifications to the Oregon City Municipal Code on October 16, 2019. The complete packet of corrected and clarified code amendments and an updated detailed summary are attached.
On September 9th and 23rd, the Planning Commission reviewed and recommended approval of corrections and clarifications to various chapters of the development code primarily as a follow up to the amendments which became effective August 2, 2019. The City Commission reviewed the draft language at a series of meetings.
The enclosed amendments include all amendments associated with Planning file LEG 18-00001. Staff is looking for confirmation of the proposed amendments and anticipates returning on November 6th, 2019 with a staff report. There will be an opportunity for public testimony at this hearing as well on November 6th.
