Title

Resolution No. 19-25, Updated Public Works Sanitary Sewer Design Standards

Body

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):

Recommend that City Commission approve Resolution No.19-25 to adopt the Public Works Sanitary Sewer Design Standards.

BACKGROUND:

The City of Oregon City adopted the Public Works Sanitary Sewer Design Standards in 1993.

This update provides changes to bring the design standards up to current day construction practices and standards. The update also provides changes to bring the design standards consistent with changes to the standard drawings which have been revised continually over the past several years.

Revisions were made following a review by development engineering staff, operations and maintenance staff, and construction inspections staff. Standards were also reviewed by staff at Water Environment Services. The revisions have been announced to a majority of consultants and contractors that do business with the City, and a review of these revisions were presented before the Development Stakeholders Group.

We received few comments and were able to address the majority of concerns.

The Public Works Sanitary Sewer Design Standards were also updated to include the pertinent information found at those other agencies and from the comments received.
