Resolution No. 19-15, Amending Commission Policy 1-1, Commission Meetings

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Staff recommends the City Commission approve the revisions made to Commission Policy 1-1, Commission Meetings by approving Resolution No. 19-15.
BACKGROUND:
Commission Policy 1-1, Commission Meetings, was adopted January 20, 1999. Revisions to this policy were presented and discussed at the April 9, 2019 Work Session of the City Commission. Commission questions were addressed and Commission input has been incorporated in the revised policy.
The changes to the policy include:
1. New formatting update.
2. The date and time Commission meetings are held was updated to reflect the first and third Wednesdays of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m.
As you may recall, the previous language in the policy was taken directly from the City Charter and since this is a policy it could be easily updated.
Attached to this staff report is a redlined version of the proposed changes to Commission Policy 1-1 and a clean version with the changes incorporated. Staff recommends approval of these revisions.
