Title

Resolution No. 19-07, Adjusting Alarm System User Permit Fees to Become More Consistent within the Region

Body

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):

Move to adopt Resolution No. 19-07, A Resolution Updating Alarm System User Permit Fees with the signing of the PM AM Corporation contract.

BACKGROUND:

Current Oregon City Municipal Code 5.08.060(D) establishes the setting of alarm system user permit fees by City Commission Resolution. Resolution No. 01-1017 adopted a schedule of fees approximately four years ago. On February 6, 2019, the City entered into a contract with PM AM Corporation (PMAM) to operate the alarm program. Adoption of this resolution would adjust alarm permit fees to become more consistent with the permit fee scale within the region of surrounding jurisdictions who have also contracted with PMAM. The purpose of the Resolution is to amend the current resolution and establish updated fees.

BUDGET IMPACT:

Amount:  Revenue increases are anticipated due to enrollment of non-compliant customers.

FY(s): 2019 forward

Funding Source:  Alarm fees
