RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):

Staff recommends that the City Commission authorize the purchase for replacement of truck 840. The purchase price of this truck is $57,096.72 and was a previously authorized expenditure within the FY 2017-19 biennial budget.

 

BACKGROUND:

Oregon City Parks vehicle replacements are managed through our Parks Fleet Replacement Fund. Every year we assess our various vehicles for service life, remaining life, vehicle maintenance, and budgeted replacement.  This replacement has been anticipated and was budgeted in current fiscal year.  This vehicle is a necessary piece of equipment and will replace truck 840 which has been in use by the Parks Department for over twenty years.

 

We will be contracting with Northside Ford for the purchase of the 2019 Ford F-350 flatbed truck. Please see attached price quote for details.
