Title
Design Presentation of New Police, Court, and Commission Chambers Facility
Body
BACKGROUND:
Police staff have been working with a team to design the new public safety facility. Through the process, the team has taken input from employees and the community. The design has gone through several iterations, making adjustments to meet public expectations, design requirements, and the project budget. The schematic design process is finished, and the proposed design has been narrowed to meet the budget through an interactive process by all members of the design team-including staff, designers, and the construction company. This will be a presentation to the Commission by the design team to share how the team reached the schematic design, to answer any questions about the design, to get Commission feedback, and to get approval from the Commission on the direction of the project.
The design team includes Oregon City staff and the following vendors, who will be in attendance:
• Project Manager/Owner’s Representative (PlanB Consultancy International, LLC)
• Architect firm (FFA Architecture and Interiors)
• Construction Manager/General Contractor (P&C Construction)
• Technical Advisor (McClaren Wilson & Lawrie Inc.)
