Share brainstorm list from August and Identify 1-3 additional projects for the CIC to take on in 2018/2019.
BACKGROUND:
Work Plan #1 Goal 3: Develop resources to help maintain active neighborhood associations and help reactivate inactive or underperforming neighborhood associations. Share resources and tools that can help maintain active neighborhood associations.
1. Identify one or more projects the CIC can take on to support Neighborhood (NA) and CIC involvement - spend October meeting formalizing work plan.
a. CIC members attend NA meetings to explain and promote CIC- ask what people want to better understand from the city. Go in pairs.
b. CIC/joint NA meeting- “ state of the neighborhoods forum”
c. Provide information on the benefits of NA- flyer
d. Static display at the library- who to contact etc
e. Kiosk in a gathering location
f. CIC Attend more city events-
i. First City Festival
ii. Booth at farmers Market
iii.Emergency preparedness presentation- sponsor an event
iv.One page flyer -Broadcast what we do- promote the case for NA- attach to permits? Or other city billing info?
v. Other?
g. Share CIC Recruitment video - revise if needed
