BACKGROUND:
In order to avoid receiving in appropriate materials from patrons who are trying to replace damaged or lost items, library staff recommends the following policy:
As of April 12, 2018, the Oregon City Public Library will no longer accept replacement materials for Lost or Damaged items. All Lost/Damaged items must be paid for in full according to the price listed in the catalog. From this date forward, the Library will record and charge the library’s cost of items, thereby passing our savings on to the patron. Items purchased prior to this date will be charged the existing price recorded in the catalog.
This only applies to Oregon City Library materials, which may be paid for at any LINCC library. Materials checked out at Oregon City Library that belong to other Clackamas County libraries will be charged that library’s rate.
