2018 City Commission Meeting Calendar

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Staff recommends the City Commission review the draft 2018 meeting schedule and make any necessary changes.
BACKGROUND:
Each year the City Commission considers the dates for the next year's meeting schedule. Included with this report is a draft version of the 2018 schedule that includes meeting dates for the City Commission regular meetings, work sessions, annual retreat, and Enhancement Grant Committee meeting. Please note for 2018 the fourth of July falls on a Wednesday of a regularly scheduled City Commission meeting night, so that meeting has been moved to Thursday, July 5, 2018. Also note, the Mid-Biennium Goals Update retreat has been scheduled for January 27, 2018 and the Enhancement Grant Committee meeting is scheduled for June 5, 2018.
The calendar is set in advance to allow the Commission opportunity to plan ahead and avoid conflicts throughout the year. Approval of the calendar also provides notice to the public of the next year's scheduled meetings.
