Letter of Support for the Sale of Oregon City View Manor at 200 Longview Way

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Staff recommends the City Commission consider approval of a letter supporting the sale of Oregon City View Manor at 200 Longview Way by the Clackamas County Housing Authority.
BACKGROUND:
The Housing Authority of Clackamas County is seeking to sell the property located at 200 Longview Way which is currently developed with 100 units of public housing known as Oregon City View Manor. The County intends to sell approximately 17-19 of the 22-acre site at fair market value and retain the remaining acreage for development of 30-50 affordable cottage cluster homes.
In order to sale the property, the Housing Authority will be submitting a Section 18 Disposition application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and has requested the City provide a letter of support. The sale of the site will allow the Housing Authority to leverage funding to build new, quality affordable housing in areas throughout the County.
A draft letter of support is attached for consideration by the City Commission.
