RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Staff recommends that the City Commission open the public hearing, accept any testimony and continue the hearing to the date certain of September 20, 2017 for Planning file AN 17-0001 and the first reading of Ordinance No. 17-1009.
BACKGROUND:
Staff recommends the continuance to allow the required minimum 20-day public notice to be published in the Oregon City News.
The City received a request for annexation of a 0.95 acre property into the city limits of Oregon City in order to receive city services. The property is required to annex as a result of a septic system failure and has already connected to the city sewer system. No re-zoning of the property is proposed at this time.
Pursuant to the city's Comprehensive Plan policy 14.4.4 to expedite the annexation process for properties that are required to annex as a condition of connecting to city sewer, this application does not require a recommendation from the Planning Commission.
