Contract Award for the Clackamette Park Boat Ramp Repair Project

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Staff recommends the City Commission approve the contract for the Clackamette Park Boat Ramp Repair Project to Marine Industrial Construction, LLC in the amount of $167,778.40.
BACKGROUND:
Request for bids went out on May 23, 2016 & May 25, 2016. Four contractors responded to the bid request for the project. An evaluation committee reviewed the bids and compiled recommendations. Marine Industrial Construction, LLC's bid was selected as the repsonsible bidder with a bid amount of $167,778.40. Marine Industrial Construction, LLC's bid is within the project budget composed of 25% City General Funds and 75% grant funds from Oregon State Marine Board. This repair project is based on the recommendation of the 2015-2016 Clackamette Park Boat Ramp Hydrology Study completed this winter. This project will reopen the boat ramp in September 2016.
The project construction will initiate July 15, 2016 and be completed by August 31, 2016 due to the permitting In Water Work Period. This is in compliance with our permits from the Army Corp of Engineers and Department of State Lands.
