BACKGROUND:
April, 2016
-The City Commission along with the Library Board walked through the new addition on April 12
-Furniture and shelving have been ordered
-a painting meeting was held and painting begun
-scaffolding was removed from Jefferson Street
May, 2016
-permanent power for the new addition was installed
-curbs and sidewalks are starting to be replaced. Head’s up: this should start happening on John Adams this week (starting May 9)
-we are still on track to move into the addition starting on July 7; discreet groups of sub-contractors will work on weekends to make this happen; funding for this has been set aside
BUDGET IMPACT: ongoing use of funds set aside for building project
