Title
Interview Remaining Candidates for Open HRB positions

Body
RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
The HRB members will conduct the remaining interview for the three open positions.

BACKGROUND:
Last fall, our City Recorder noticed openings for Boards and Commissions.  At the time of closing for the recruitment period, no applications had been submitted.

Since then, the HRB has had had additional submissions and some, but not all, interviews.  This process came in slowly over a 2 month period and did not allow for a holistic look by the HRB of the applicants. In consultation with Tony Konkol, Oregon City Community Development Director, staff  reopened the recruitment for the open positions  and formally closed the recruitment on March 13, 2015. Candidates who have already applied and interviewed will not be re-interviewed. Only new candidates will be interviewed at the April 28, 2015 meeting.

Once all candidates have been interviewed, the Board will forward the recommended names to the Mayor for appointment.

For those Board members whose terms ended December 2014, your position continues until it is filled. Candidates for the open position are welcomed to attend HRB meetings to get acquainted with the process and issues.
