BACKGROUND:
Join us for a fun family event! Oregon City Arbor Day - April 13, 2015
The City, along with Friends of Trees (FOT) and the Eastham Community School are organizing a planting event for volunteers to plant 22 new trees at the Eastham Community School campus. Friends of Trees will also be starting to generate interest and participation in the Neighborhood Trees Program later this year. Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes early to prepare. Friends of Trees is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that works to empower people to improve the natural world around them through a simple solution: plant trees. We envision a world where every single person appreciates a tree's value. To get there, we work with local municipalities to offer low-cost street and yard trees for private property owners and to assist with the restoration of parks and other natural areas.
