Proclamation Declaring April 26, 2014 as Arbor Day in Oregon City

RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Mayor Neeley will read the proclamation and provide details about the upcoming events for Arbor Day.
BACKGROUND:
This year, Arbor Day in Oregon City will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at John McLoughlin Elementary School. In collaboration with Rotary Club of Oregon city and the students, parents and staff of McLoughlin Elementary School, we will celebrate Arbor Day with the planting of several new trees around the school's multi-use path way.
Oregon City is also proud to be recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA for the second consecutive year.
