RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Review and comment on items that are in comment period.
BACKGROUND:
Staff will provide an brief overview of recent, current and pending land use applications within the NROD and Geo. Hazard Overlay Districts.
Since the public notice period for land use applications does not coincide with NRC regular meetings, staff will provide separate notification to the NRC of all land use notices for comment at the beginning of the official public comment period via email. This is what we do for Neighborhood Associations as well.
Please advise staff whether NRC would like notice of all land use applications, or only land use applications which also have a concurrent Natural Resources Overlay District (NROD) and Geologic Hazard Overlay District Review.
Since land use review is complicated, the NRC may want to decide in the future whether to form an ad-hoc "land use" subcommittee responsible for this task.
