RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Following the public hearing, staff recommends that the Commission approve Resolution No. 13-17, adopting the 2013-2015 biennial budget, making appropriations, imposing taxes and categorizing taxes.
BACKGROUND:
On April 15, 2013, the Budget Committee reviewed the proposed 2013-2015 biennial budget. The Budget Committee approved a total budget in the amount of $132,387,860, a General Fund operating property tax rate of $4.4090 per $1,000 of assessed value for both fiscal years 2013/14 and 2014/15, and fire bond levy amounts of $278,767 in fiscal year 2013/14 and $286,457 in fiscal year 2014/15. The approved property tax rates are below the established permanent tax rate of $5.0571 per $1,000 of assessed value.
There are no recommended changes from the Approved budget.
Following budget adoption, documentation will be filed with the Oregon Department of Revenue, Clackamas County Clerk, and Clackamas County Assessor as required by Oregon Revised Statutes.
