RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Staff recommends the City Commission approve Abe's Royal Cleaners' bid for Police Department laundry and dry cleaning services in the total not-to-exceed amount of $53,000 for the term of the contract. The contract period will run July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018.
 
BACKGROUND:
In May 2013, staff solicited bids for Police Department laundry and dry cleaning services. The solicitation appeared in the May 8, 2013 issuse of the Oregon City News. Public bid opening occurred at 3:00 PM on May 29, 2013.  Abe's Royal Cleaners was the only bid received.  Abe's Royal Cleaners bid reflected an increase of 0.87% in laundry and dry cleaning service over the 2008 current contract.
