RECOMMENDED ACTION (Motion):
Adopt Resolution No. 12-25, approving the ballot language for submittal of AN 12-03 to the legal voters of Oregon City and setting an election date of November 6, 2012.
 
BACKGROUND:
Staff has prepared a resolution forwarding AN 12-03 to the legal voters of Oregon City, setting an election date of November 6, 2012, and adopting and approving a ballot title for inclusion in the voter's pamphlet.
 
Following a land use public hearing on August 1, 2012 the City Commission approved AN 12-03, adopting the Staff Report and Findings, Reasons for Decision, and Recommendations.
The applicant has requested approval to annex approximately 11.93 acres of property with a comprehensive plan designation of Industrial into the city limits of Oregon City.  The site is located at 19314 Beavercreek Road, directly across from Clackamas Community College, and has been within the Oregon City Urban Growth Boundary since 1979.
All annexations are subject to review by the City Commission against the approval factors in OCMC 14.04.060 - Annexation factors <<http://library.municode.com/HTML/16540/level2/TIT14AN_CH14.04CIBOCHEXSE.html>>. All annexations must be approved by the voters of Oregon City following approval by the City Commission.
